I want to tell you I have a heart posture for showing accountability for my own actions in faith as I live out each day as a child of God, as a mother, a friend, a sister in Christ, and as a wife.
The definition of accountability is this “an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one’s actions”…..
Hebrews 4:13 NIV
13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
For the Lord wants us to be enthusiastic about doing what is right and not only feeling a sense of obligation in our demeanor but to show up authentically and represent His character. To let the Holy Spirit speak through you. To speak about the things The Lord has done, to share of the testimony about how good He is. he is faithful and true.
I have many scriptures written on the tablet of my heart that I want to share with you. To encourage you and help you represent faith and build you up in all seasons. This next season is a time for justice is restitution. I believe we have about five months of preparation to spread the news about King Jesus before things may become more challenging in this world. I am going to be writing more often!
I like to generously give of my time and energy to do what is right. I have been studying in the books of Corinthians recently and I love how this is worded. Let me share this scripture with you!
2 Corinthians 9: 6-13 says
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:
“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
Dear Lord we are so thankful for your mercy and your loving kindness. Bless my brother and sister today in all fullness of joy, peace and grace. Teach them that you are on the path of the giver, and let us generously sow into your kingdom to honor you and for your name sake. We want to do what you say and believe the promises you have for us. Let us feel your presence as we express what is good and pure with intention to promote your love, and help us to confess what we need in prayer to in order to live by your will. Let your will be done for our lives as we ask you to help us stay accountable.
